Forgive: to cease to blame or hold resentment against.
I don’t believe in “forgive and forget” only because I think you must REMEMBER in order to move forward; we are who we are because of our challenges and obstacles as well as our successes. But I am capable of forgiveness. I HAVE forgiven.
How do we ACCEPT the new path and succeed; how do we DISCOVER who we are (and will be); how do we truly RECEIVE all the greatness and HAPPINESS that awaits us without giving something away? Simply put, you won’t. So give away the blame, negativity and hurt. This is absolutely necessary, but a path that must be CHOSEN to succeed and move forward. The final step in FINDING what makes us HAPPY.
With only hard work will we reach this point-how hard and though the actual “work” may feel like our “darkest day”, this is the OPPORTUNITY to show ourselves (and anyone else who we need to prove this to!), that we are stronger than we EVER thought we were. This allows us to be truly grateful for all we ask of ourselves to lead us through. We WILL be our BEST because of this and being able to FEEL forgiveness is a BLESSING! Without FEELING forgiveness, we will be stuck; stuck in old patterns, and feelings that were NOT moving us COMPLETELY forward. CHOOSE to light the path by freeing yourself from the hurt.
Now, my (epic) Odyssey begins with not only a heart that has FORGIVEN but a quiet mind. This is baggage that is NOT welcome onto the path I call MY LIFE!
“Forgiveness is almost a selfish act because of its immense benefits to the one who forgives”
