Acceptance: The act of assenting or believing
There are times in all of our lives when a new path is shown to us when the only choice we are given is how quickly we embrace the new path and ACCEPT the next phase.
Acceptance isn’t always easy; especially if the new path is not one you see that you want; a path not chosen by you. We all like to think if we just WANT badly enough that we will be granted that Moment in Time where we can go back and hold onto what we fear we are losing just a little longer; linger where we feel safe. We KNOW that place, it’s comforting, but it’s not where we are being called to….
But how do we ACCEPT that which we don’t see? And how do we SEE thru our perceived darkness to the light on the other side; to the opportunities and unrealized greatness that awaits us?
We make a choice to BE. Our CHOICE becomes the light that guides us to the ACCEPTANCE of our new path. And with every day we remain steadfast to that choice we get closer to what awaits us. This is our LIFE. Though the path was not chosen by me, there is nothing telling me that once I chose to walk the path with light of BEING, that then I am given MY CHOICES. These choices then lead me to the DISCOVERY of ME, allowing ACCEPTANCE.
“Every day you make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will be a stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb”
Sir Winston Churchill English politician (1874-1965)
